The conference includes in-depth pre-conference skill building sessions, 40 breakouts, exhibitors, The Second Annual COPAA Fun Run/Walk, the Annual Silent Auction to benefit the Beth Goodman Scholarship Fund, the Diane Lipton Award for Excellence in Advocacy and invaluable time to network with experienced and knowledgeable special education attorneys, advocates, and parents.

Sessions promote excellence in special education advocacy and litigation. Participants gain information and strategies to deal with such issues as placement, educational methodology, effective IEPs, evaluation, dispute resolution, compensatory education, due process hearings, litigation matters, and much more.

Continuing Education Legal Credit

COPAA is an ILLINOIS ACCREDITED CLE PROVIDER through the MCLB of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

COPAA has submitted an application with the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal  Education and is awaiting status.

Please check the requirements in your state, including if there is reciprocity. COPAA provides a certificate of attendance onsite to attendees and maintains the necessary records. Participants are required to submit their requests for CLE credit individually to their applicable state bar or other licensing organization.
